I wanted to share the details of this workout to demonstrate how an intense workout affects my blood sugar. This workout might not seem too intense, but it took just below 10 minutes to complete the 21-15-9 section and with a 1:1 work rest ratio, it was basically 4 medium paced sprints of 10 minutes with 10 minutes rest between.

About 60 minutes before I started the workout I had 20 gram of carbs from a HUEL black shake. I did not consume anything while doing the workout. I had 210 grams of carbs the evening before so I would say that my muscle glucose storage was about full.

4 rounds of:
21 cal ski erg
21 Box Jumps 50 cm
21 Wall Balls @ 30 lbs

15 cal ski erg
15 Box Jumps 60 cm
15 Wall Balls @ 30 lbs

9 cal ski erg
9 Box Jumps 70 cm
9 Wall Balls @ 30 lbs

Between rounds: Rest as worked

This graph show my heart rate overlaid with the blood sugar data from Nightscout. Notice how the blood sugar drops slightly in the first 10 minutes, then in the resting phase it increases. This happens though the entire workout; Blood sugar going lower while working and then increasing just after the work.
